From a Dream to a Reality – AStep Forward, Tsad Kadima
Tsad Kadima is an award-winning Israelinon-for-profit organization founded in 1987 by parents of children with Cerebral Palsy and professionals who embarked on a life-changing journey to bring the Conductive Education approach (Petõ) to Israel.
Tsad Kadima is the only organization in Israelthat implements and trains the unique Conductive Educational approach which develops personal abilities and instills motivation amongst children and adults with severe complex disabilities so they can lead active, independent and autonomous lives, participating in their family and community frameworks and settings.
“Show me how I can achieve the goal with my abilities”
(Dr. Peto, founder of the Conductive Education approach
implemented and trained in Israel solely by Tsad Kadima.)
We operate in 6 cities throughout Israel - Eilat, Beer Sheva, Rishon LeTzion, Ness Ziona, Jerusalem and Or Akiva. Other municipalities often reach out to us hoping we will operate centers in their city. Hundreds of children and young adults in Israel with cerebral palsy and complex disabilities attend our centers and participate in our programs, receiving the support they need. Our target audience includes thousands- infants, toddlers, children and youth (at our special education school), young adults and adults, their families and the wider community.
With the oversight and guidance of a volunteer Board of Directors, 75% of the organization’s annual operating budget comes from longstanding partnerships with Israel’s Ministries of Labor, Social Affairs and Social Services, Education and Health and its funding is ensured through contractual agreements. These ministries also supervise the organization’s activity. The remaining 25% of the budget derives from private donors, Israeli companies and foundations and is used to fund the organization’s special programs, and to fund the purchase of equipment and the development of new programs.
Donate to Tsad Kadima - and we will take a step forward together.
